Communal Council meeting around the food and health sector

On June 18 and 19, a session was held at the Nikki Town Hall on the Framework of the Communal Council around the food, health and nutrition sector. This session is organized by CASCADE NGO in collaboration with the Nikki Town Hall.
It is attended by the departmental and municipal managers of CASCADE NGO, the Executive Secretary and the Director of Planning of the town hall and the different actors involved in the nutrition and food sector in the municipality of Nikki, with OAN International once again being invited as an entity active in this field.
A presentation of the activities of the last three months was carried out and the implementation of the recommendations set during the first session of 2024 was discussed.
During this session, activities were planned for the next quarter in the form of new recommendations. A mapping of the structures and NGOs working in the municipality is planned to facilitate the synergies of action but also to allow the authorities to distinguish between the intervention of the actors from different NGOs on municipal territory. A study carried out by CASCADE on food taboos and the reasons behind them was also presented to us, with the aim of reinforcing the nutritional information and notions of all those responsible in the field.
