OAN International at Magia por Benín

OAN International raises more than 2.000 € at the charity event "Magia por Benín".

During the last weekend of March, on the 27th, 28th and 29th, we took an active part in a new edition of Magia por Benín, an event organized every year by Mensajeros de la Paz and with which we have been collaborating for years.

At OAN International, we were present with a space dedicated to spreading the word about our development cooperation projects in the Nikki region. The main goal of our participation was twofold: to raise awareness among attendees about our work in the field and to make the products of Nikarit, our social entrepreneurship project, available to them.

Nikarit: Cosmetics with social impact

At our information stand, we made the Nikarit product range available to the public, handcrafted by women's cooperatives in Benin. The sale of these products not only promotes fair trade and the use of natural ingredients such as shea butter, but also directly supports the economic sustainability of the producing communities.

Results of the day

As every year, the public's response was excellent, translating into very positive results for the organization:

• Reach: dozens of people showed interest in OAN International's areas of work.
• Funds raised: thanks to the sale of Nikarit products and the donations received, we managed to raise a figure above 2.000 euros.
• Use of the funds: this amount will go entirely towards financing the projects we lead in Benin, focused on key areas such as health, education and women's empowerment.
